Classification and Right Way to Use Plastics
The plastic product recycling label was formulated in 1988 by the “Society of the Plastics Industry” (now renamed the “Plastics Industry Association”). This set of signs stamps the plastic material identification code on the container or packaging, from No. 1 to No. 7, so that people can easily join the ranks of recycling without having to bother to learn the similarities and differences of various plastic materials. Each plastic container has a small ID card – a triangular symbol, usually at the bottom of the plastic container. There are 1 to 7 numbers in the triangle, and each number represents a type of plastic container. They are made of different materials, and there are also different taboos in their use.
